One of the Most Authentic Heritage Food Hall in Singapore - Singapura Heritage!

With Singapore entering Phase 3 (With the limit of 8 pax apart from family members for house gatherings), everyone is busy planning for their meetings. We are all eager about the news on the latest vaccine releases. We at Tristeps Studios, have also been working hard to help businesses move forward by taking more visuals to encourage more contactless deliveries to minimise potential Covid-19 transmissions.

Here is another project with Singapura Heritage that also adopts on delivery platforms such as Deliveroo and FoodPanda.

Singapura Heritage is a newly opened food hall, serving deliciously local food at Seletar Mall #03-10/11/12; a dedicated space that offers a traditional throwback to some of us.

You might have some recollection of these notable stores:

  • Eng’s Wantan Noodle

  • Old Hainan Curry Rice

  • Zhong Zhong Wu Xiang

  • Bee Hong Hainanese Chicken Rice

  • Prawn Noodle Soup

  • Ann Chin Popiah

  • Teochew Handmade Pau

  • Old School Bird Nest Drink

[Thought Process]

Our art director, Henry, has made sure there are elements of heritage belonging to each culture. For instance, for the shoot with Fatty Prawn Noodle, there are two traditional rattan fans to incorporate some old-school vibes to the photograph.

For the Old Hainan Curry Rice, we have actually used the owner’s grandparent’s sign board to pay remembrance to the last generation hawkers of Old Hainan Curry Rice.

For the Bee Hong Hainanese Chicken Rice, the backdrop curtain added a touch of vibrancy and natural aspect to the brown table top that we had and felt that it might be dull overall if there weren't colours added.

Zhong Zhong Wu Xiang is a name familiar to many in Singapore. Being one of the best handmade teochew ngoh hiang, they actually supply up to 20 hawkers and restaurants locally! Our team at Tristeps really love their delicious crispy prawn cracker. It was by far the most authentic one we had with the paste having a rich prawn flavor! The greens of the palm tree gave off the feeling of dining back at a Kampong while being surrounded by nature.

As for the Michelin Plate Teochew Handmade Pau and Old School Bird Nest drink, Henry has managed to bring out the nostalgic essence of the days where we would go down to the ‘Night Market’ also known as ‘Pasar Malam’ to get a cheap thrill $2 bird nest drink.

Doesn't the Acrylic Sign Board send a nostalgic feeling that you get when you visit those Night Market booths?

Eng’s Wantan Noodle is another familiar name to locals. One thing to note is that the pork lard and chili sauce (FYI it’s really hot) is the true signature of Eng’s Wanton Noodle. The metal noodle strainer and noodles were paired together to pay tribute to the process and hard work behind cooking the noodles.

See how all the elements have come together by utilising complementary colours and repetition of the round shapes?

For those that do not wish to step out of their house in times of pandemic, they also offer Islandwide delivery. Do check out their Instagram page for their full offerings!
